The power of the Internet has made it possible to create an abundance of work at home opportunities. If you have decided you want to start your own home-based business, but don't know where to start, the following information may be helpful.

It takes time and work to build a business and an income, whether it is online or not.
PRODUCT: What will you be selling? Is it an actual product or is it information? If you do not believe in the product or information you are trying to sell, it will be very difficult to sell it to other people. Marketing is hard work and requires your dedication to the product.
SUPPORT: Does the company or business you are interested in provide you with support AFTER you invest in their program? Make sure you will receive ongoing assistance with any questions you may have as you work the program. Their website should have tips and guidelines to help you, especially marketing tips.
ONLINE OPPORTUNITIES:
AFFILIATE PROGRAMS: One of the easiest and most lucrative ways of making money online is to promote other people’s products by becoming their affiliates. Affiliate programs allow you to make money by referring customers to a company’s website. Most successful online merchants use affiliate programs to promote their sites.
Make sure that the affiliate program you are interested in joining has no start up fee. There are thousands of affiliate programs out there to choose from that are free to join. The best programs to join are the ones that have a generous payment structure, no less than 25% commission. Since you are doing the hard work of promoting someone else’s product, your commission should be a substantial one.
EBAY: If you do not have a website, one of the easiest and most profitable ways of making money online is with eBay. It is the largest online auction site, drawing millions of people every day. It is the first place most people check out when they are looking for items, both new and used. You can sell almost anything you can think of.
The best places to find items to resell on eBay are garage and yard sales, estate sales, and local auctions. You should also use your newspaper classifieds section. You can find terrific bargains there. Bargain hunting can become your new “business”, a very lucrative one.
ADDITIONAL ONLINE OPPORTUNITIES:
COMPANY AND CORPORATE WEBSITES: (IBM, Penney’s, Disney, etc.) Whatever store, company or corporation you can think of, they will probably have a website. If they have a website, there will be a link for jobs.
GENERAL EMPLOYMENT SITES: (jobs.com, monster.com, careerbuilder.com, etc.) There are many websites for general job searches. Just do a search for JOBS and you are on your way.
ONLINE NEWSPAPER CLASSIFIED ADS: Whatever newspaper you can think of, they will most likely have a website. You can also do a general search for NEWSPAPER CLASSIFIEDS and you will get hundreds of links.
WORK-AT-HOME DIRECTORY LISTINGS: If you do a search for WORK AT HOME, you will receive thousands of possibilities. Beware of scams!
The only requirements to finding a job online are time, commitment and perseverance. If you stick with it and stay focused, you WILL find something that works for you.
